After completing my first New Year's Resolution of 2021 by reading 75 Lovecraftian short stories, I'm basically going to repeat it by reading 75 more. Actually only 74 because I just posted Clark Ashton Smith's "The End of the Story."
At the rate I'm going, I'm set to finish over 50 stories from Robert Bloch by year's end already, so I'm dropping him from the list for diversity's sake. I'm dropping Karl Edward Wagner because I can't find any of his stories anywhere and I'm dropping August Derleth because I'm not a good match for his writing style. I'm keeping Robert E. Howard even though I haven't read one of his stories this year.
I'm adding Brian Lumley and Michael Shea. Those might seem odds choices but their work is available and looks promising.
So...
Resolution 11. Read 75 Lovecraftian short stories: (1)
Algernon Blackwood:
Ramsey Campbell:
Lord Dunsany:
Clark Ashton Smith (1): The End of the Story.
Robert E. Howard:
Brian Lumley:
Micheal Shea:
There's 154 more days in the year so 74 is pushing it. Still, since I haven't been exercising, I might as well try to read more.
