A payment kiosk speeds up the process.
Consumers may cringe waiting on long lines. Long lines signal demand and, more importantly, lost time.
The convenience of express lanes saves consumer time, but what if the consumer contacts the grocery delivery company for an order less than 10 items.
The grocery delivery company may cringe at the request, however, they may charge a premium convenience fee. Supermarkets will allow customers to buy for as little as one item like an apple, banana, or a grape. Yes, a grape, too, and if grocery delivery companies want to grow they may have to fulfill smaller orders, especially for loyal, long time customers.
Grocery delivery companies are in demand for customers who can afford the service and want their time, customizing the order when a customer wants one or one hundred items may be the way it gains traction, -- that is, by giving consumers options.
