I haven't done one of these since the beginning of October. If I ever get to my number one song, it will be a miracle.

56. "I'm Mr. Snow/Heat Miser" by the Miser Brothers (Dick Shawn and George S. Irving) - I hate most Christmas songs but this is a rare exception. I remember talking about the Miser brothers back in grade school. Nobody ever remembered anything else about The Year Without a Santa Claus except for them. Snow Miser can't be blamed for his cameo in Batman and Robin.

55. "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" by Thurl Ravenscroft" - I also remember talking about this song. If I ever mentioned an individual song from any other Christmas special, I don't recall it. I've never watched more than a few minutes of each Grinch remake so as I write this, I don't know if they remade the song after the Chuck Jones' version but I'm probably too set in my ways to enjoy a cover version if they have (a Google search revealed that that did, and a few seconds of listening confirmed that I didn't enjoy it at all). As How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a far superior story than The Year Without a Santa Claus, it makes sense that the Grinch's song gets the higher notch.

I hadn't considered these two songs when I put together my list of 100 songs so I'm going to have to scramble to make it come out even.
