Hey, Child Learners out there on Outschool! This class is for child learners. Not only with this class do you receive free eBooks and an audiobook that is done by the teacher, but you also receive a certificate of achievement for accomplishing the hand placement strategy that is necessary to play the African drum. If you already know the hand placement, you will have the opportunity in this class to practice your African drum playing and learn some beginners' techniques for playing the African drum. Plus, there will be some quick and handy tips on how you can take care of your African drum so if and when you purchase one it can be a long-term investment that most likely you can receive help to purchase. Your teacher, me, well, I learned how to play the African drum about 15 years ago and taught myself how to play it with the assistance of a friend of mine. We would play African drums together in our spare time for practice! If you don't know anything about the African drum, this class is also good for discovering more about an instrument that you may want to take more interest in. As well, if you know a lot about the African drum as a child musician, this class could turn into a great knowledge exchange between old and young. If you are somewhere in the middle, you will learn a lot, plus if you are a beginner, you will learn a lot. The class will begin with instructions on how to do the proper hand placement on the African drum, followed by instructions on how to play the best beats and rhythm, and by the end of the class, you will better know how to play the African drum. The class is more recommended for beginners, rather than advanced African drum players.
