Fun With the Trumpet for Kids: Focus on the Embouchure

Hey, Child Learners out there on Outschool! This class is for child learners. Your teacher, me, well, I learned how to play the trumpet at the age of 13 in public school! This was so long ago that the public schools in Canada were so well-funded that each student had the opportunity to choose the instrument that they wanted to play and even bring it home for practice. Some schools in Canada are even still like this. Another instrument I chose was the trumpet because I was getting better at my music classes and lessons in school and loved the curved nature of the horn and was also falling in love with jazz, blues, and some classical music, plus modern music where I could hear the trumpet player.
If you don't know anything about the trumpet, this class is also good for discovering more about an instrument that you may want to take more interest in. As well, if you know a lot about the trumpet as a child musician, this class could turn into a great knowledge exchange between old and young. If you are somewhere in the middle, you will learn a lot, plus if you are a beginner, you will learn a lot.
The class will begin with instructions on how to do the embouchure for the trumpet, followed by instructions on how to play notes, and by the end of the class, you will learn to play at least one song. The class is more recommended for beginners, rather than advanced trumpet players.
