This class will dive into the beauty of audio producing and editing techniques. Beginning with an introduction to the history of radio and audio in America, the following class will have you right into recording audio from your smartphone and learn how to edit exciting snippets of sound and music if you choose in order to produce your own radio shows. Each class, you will come up with a new radio show that will be even better than the last show.
Week 1: The History of Radio in America
Homework: Record some audio and/or music in order to learn how to edit it for the next class.
Week 2: Learning How to Edit Audio
Homework: Build on the techniques that you learned in class to edit your audio.
Week 3: Tips on Recording Audio
Homework: Record more audio and we'll edit it in the next class.
Week 4: In-Class Editing of the Audio with Guidance from the Teacher
Homework: Playback your audio to your parents and let's get some feedback on how things are going.
Week 5: Sharing Our Audio Shows with the Class
Homework: Record and edit more audio.
Week 6: Sharing Our Audio Shows with the Class
