This class is for child learners. Not only with this class do you receive free eBooks and an audiobook that is done by the teacher, but you also receive accomplishing the breathing strategy that is necessary to play the saxophone, mini-saxophone, and clarinet. If you already know the breathing techniques, you will have the opportunity in this class to practice your instrument playing and learn some beginners' techniques for playing your instrument. Plus, there will be some quick and handy tips on how you can take care of your instrument so if and when you purchase one it can be a long-term investment that most likely you can receive help to purchase. Your teacher, me, well, I learned how to play the mini-saxophone while I was doing my Ph.D. in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning Development at OISE | the University of Toronto which is a high-ranking educational school in the world, as well as North America. I chose to purchase a mini-saxophone due to its affordability, rather than a full saxophone, and I love the mini-saxophone because it has a sound similar to a saxophone and a clarinet. There are many people who own saxophones and clarinets, that also owns a mini-saxophone. I love the curved nature of the mini-saxophone and was also falling in love again with jazz, blues, and some classical music, plus modern music where I could hear the mini-saxophone player. If you don't know anything about the mini-saxophone, clarinet, or saxophone, this class is also good for discovering more about an instrument that you may want to take more interest in. As well, if you know a lot about the saxophone, clarinet, or mini-saxophone as a child musician, this class could turn into a great knowledge exchange between old and young. If you are somewhere in the middle, you will learn a lot, plus if you are a beginner, you will learn a lot. The class will begin with instructions on the breathing techniques for the saxophone, mini-saxophone, and clarinet, followed by instructions on how to play notes, and by the end of the class, you will learn to play at least one song. The class is more recommended for beginners, rather than advanced saxophone, mini-saxophone, or clarinet players. We'll also have fun with an instruments lesson app for educational purposes. Additional resources include 8notes.com. Including teachings from the book Beginning Band. For follow-up classes, we can use resources such as BrainPOP, Kahoot!, and Seesaw.me to make the learning even more fun! Please note: I own a C key mini-saxophone. |
