Stories from either end of Stephen King's long career are heading to the small screen.

Adaptations of both the 1978 short story The Boogeyman and 2021's novel Billy Summers are in preparation

Yellowjackets' Sophie Thatcher joins Chris Messina in The Boogeyman for Hulu, based on the story in the 1978 Night Shift collection that first appeared in Cavalier magazine (for more details, click here.)

Meanwhile JJ Abrams' Bad Robot is working with King on Billy Summers, with  Ed Zwick & Marshall Herskovitz set to adapt, according to Deadline. It's seen as a limited series, dealing with a hitman whose job starts to go awry, As yet no broadcaster is attached.
