Jean calls this a "terrific Ocean Grove-mobile." Although summer does not begin until June 21, this Saturday night, Memorial Day weekend, after nightfall, feels like a Grovarian summer night which tends to be special.
You get a sense of that when you walk on our quaint streets and bump into others and share a conversation, oftentimes brief, with the people of the porches.
Although there are many folks in town, the parking wars are temporarily quiet, so the streets have few moving cars, and the sea air has a calming effect.
Downtown there are small groups chatting after dinner at Seagrass, and teenagers are enjoying being out and about.
This season we hope to do more night photography in the Grove and over in Asbury--quite the contrast.
