But first...
Dulltown, UK: Today's information, is that yesterday's readers of my blog were from:

Thank you all, for looking!

Yes, a twelve-second artwork!
Well, maybe that's a sort of round figure, perhaps it is as little as seven-seconds, or as long as fifteen?
Yes, what I'm talking about, is the ink left on the glass plate, where it is rolled out and applied to the lino block with a roller, after I have done some lino prints. It's almost like part of the cleaning-up process. It is a very quick and pleasurable treat, at the start of a messy little job.
The ink is there already, why not just roll it flat, scrape some quick random-ish marks into it, and slide a sheet of the nice Japanese printing paper on it - oh, and then rub a forefinger over, to make it make a better contact? I suppose this is just another version of decalcomania.
How about this one?

Decalcomania Monoprint. 2022. Oil-based ink on Japanese paper, about A4 in size.
There we go!
Just some rapid vertical stripes with the pointy end of a palette knife, and then a few sideways scrapes with the side of the blade.
Gosh! What a very three-D image! I didn't expect it would be as good as that! Look at those buggers hovering there, in front of the stripes! And all those gritty dirty lumpy marks in the background!
I suppose if I was trying to sell someone this, for a sum of dosh, that I'd say stuff about dark Stygian geometrical forests, with cubic apparitions and revenants doing fleeting flashes and visions under the light of a miserable invisible sallow moon - yes, twaddle like that...
How much do you want to pay, dear visitor, to have this small work, nicely framed, in your home?
This work has two prices; you can pay, either £2.00, or £2,000.
Which one, will you choose?...
