Kanye West released his 11th studio album DONDA on August 31st 2021. Donda was an album dedicated to Ye's late mother Donda West who passed away in 2007 at age 58 due to botched plastic surgery. The album serves as an allegory to Ye's mother and Ye has a soulful theme to the album that supports the inspiration. The album has a sonic rich feel and at the time of release was compared to Drake's Certified Lover Boy.
