But first...
Dulltown, UK: Today's lost plectrum is the one eventually found by the FBI, with some papers, down Donald Trump's toilet.

See, these 'Black Dots' drawings/paintings all started with my drawing, a while back, some random spontaneous stuff with bright colours, and then, pausing, drinking tea, and wondering what to do with them, I started to draw round the intricate shapes the colours had made with a fine black ink pen - there! See, that looks good, and reasonably interesting, doesn't it?
'Yes Dave it does...' I said, to myself.
'But it is just a bit too nice, and colourful - it's need some action in it, perhaps a bit of aesthetic conflict.'
'Did you say aesthetic conflict, Dave'?
'Yes, Dave, I did.'
So, at great risk of ruining the work, and wasting the time, I'd already spent on the thing, all that tedious outlining in ink - I started popping and throwing some aggressive black dots into the white spaces!
'Whoa! Dave! That looks good, well done'! I said to myself, and then added, 'A bit of aesthetic conflict works well! Well worth the risk'!
So, after admiring it for a while, I thought that I should really do some more of them, on the same theme.
Oh, look! Here'a one.
I think this is number 9 in the series.
Black Dots. No. 9. 2022. Pastel and black ink on paper, about 28" x 19" (70 cm x 48 cm)
I think I have done 11 of these buggers so far...
'11, that's a lot Dave, perhaps you should stop, and do something else now'!
'Well, Dave, I thought that yesterday, and I decided on a large charcoal abstract drawing, on expensive Italian paper.'
'Why are you mentioning the Italian paper, Dave'?
'I don't know.'
'How did it go'?
'I spent at least four, or more, hours on it...'
'Oh yes'?
'And then I ripped it up - it was rotten.'
'I see... More coloured Black Dots then'?
'Hm, no, I don't think so... I must think of something else.'
