A few days ago, dear reader, I showed you a rough sketch for a lino print - yes, that one, for some treason, surrounded by British birds.
But, what are all those birds doing there?… | Dave Whatt
Never mind those noisy chatty squawking birds, let's have a look at the finished print!

Lino print. 2021. Oil-based ink on Japanese paper, about A4 in size.
So, what the hell is going on here?
Well, there are some stacked up square things, that could even be 'V' shaped things, instead, but I'll think we'd better stick with calling them square things, don't you? Then there are some holes in the white ground (has it been snowing?) or are they black bananas, someone has carefully arranged there? See, dear reader, it's getting pretty complicated already!
Is that a castle wall?
It might be...
It is a nice night, though, isn't it? A lovely crescent moon, and I see that all the planets are pretending to be cubes. Ah, of course, my celestial calendar says that it is Planet Cube Night tonight. Don't they look clean and impressive?
Is all this daft enough for you?
You should know by now that it is best not to question the artist about their work. You always just get a lot of nonsense, no matter who it is!
Cube Night, indeed!... Ha!...
