But first...
Dulltown, UK: Today's Impressionists are Monet and Manet.
Oh, bugger! I thought they were just one bloke!...

But onto my art, instead!
Here's one from earlier this year.

Aphrodite at the Water Hole. No.34. 2023.
Charcoal, black ink, and fluorescent acrylic paint on paper. About 24" x 17", 60 cm x 43 cm.
Hm, yes, it's another one with me thinking about balancing, for the eye, a lot of scruffy blackness with a smaller quantity of bright, bright, colour. With this one, I thought it best not to have the two touching each other - that would have been messy, yes, very messy!
This is a good picture to zoom in on - in on?
Yes, just to look at a ll the fine black pen lines enclosing things, restricting the shades, you see. Yes, restricting the shades, marking them out, so there'd be no confusion.
Do you like the straight bottom edges, I'm very happy with those!
Also, do you like today's frivolous style of writing, dear reader?
Is it playful enough?
Me, I hate people talking about art. It is there to be looked at, not talked about!
By the way, do you like the piece's title?
Yes, Aph at the W H again, but number 34 in the pretty well unconnected series.
You see, years ago, if I couldn't come up with a good title for something, I'd use one featured in a 1960s film, a film about art, yes, a comedy film, of course.
A couple of weeks ago, I used it as a name for a decalcomania print, too.
