Growing up in San Jose, her passion has always been writing and reading. Along with being Silver Creek's editor-in-chief for two years, Cordobe's biggest accomplishment is joining the Mosaic program during summer and being published four times in the Mercury newspaper. "It was the scariest and most rewarding thing I've ever done. It provided me with experience in the professional world and showed just how much work Journalism is," says Cordobes.
Throughout high school, Cordobes took English 1A, English 2A, AP Lang, and AP Lit in order to reach her full potential. In college, Cordobes continues to further her experience by majoring in either Communications or Journalism. " I also really love traveling so maybe like a traveling journalist of some sort?" As to how she will get there she says "Hard work! I also wanna gain more experience in Journalism and keep learning how to perfect my writing skills. Mastering the grammar of the English language."
Cordobes biggest motivation comes from her family, especially her dad, who passed away at the age of 10. She says "I think if my dad saw me as a daughter he would be proud of me". Her mom being a teacher, she was taught at a young age the importance of having an education. Cordobes appreciates that her mom never pressured her regardless of constantly being told to do her best. "She always supports me in everything I try even if I fail. She is my main support and never fails to take care of my sister and me even when we are the absolute worst. I couldn't ask for someone stronger or kinder as a mom." Being the oldest in her family, she has hopes of inspiring her younger sister Mady so that she can have someone to look up to.

Aside from school, some of Cordobes's favorite memories were playing softball since her dad coached her softball team. The happiest years of Cordobes's life were when she was seven or eight, which is around the same time she met some of her closest friends who stood by her side till this day. Around this time was also when Cordobes found her love for music. "I really love traditional pop music, like Ariana Grande; Britney Spears; Katy Perry. I also like rock-based music like Queen; Journey, and Duran Duran, which I got from my parents. I really enjoy K-pop as well. If I had to choose my favorite artists in general it would be MARINA, Adele, Stray Kids, and Dreamcatcher."
As graduation gets closer, Cordobes says, "I'm excited about graduation, high school has been a journey and I'm looking forward to what the future holds."
"I also love Sylvia Lopez the best Senior in Journalism!"
