I bought this tape from the guys when my band was playing with them (during their 1986 tour with 'Toxic Reasons') in Aalst (Bel); 86-09-07. I also did an interview (Tilt! #2) with their guitarist Uli & singer Hannes. These Germans (from Tübingen) played speedy punk-rock. The line-up of 'K.G.B.' (Kein Grund zur Beruhigung = "no reason to be calm, not to panic") or Korrupt Gierig Bestechlich = "corrupt, greedy, bribable") at the time was Hannes Koerber (vocals/guitar), Uli Reiße-Gross (guitar), Ralf Wettemann (drums) & 'Lampe' (bass). The drummer on the tape was Stefan. Some tracks were recorded live, others in the 'Mottek' studio.
The songs were released on their first vinyl LP (Hard Way recs). Before that they had done a demo-tape and a few 7"s (e.g. Party-Sahne, on Mike Just's label Starving Missile).
Steve Spinali reviewed the LP in MRR #47 (April '87): >>This German band showcases a mid- to fast-tempo HC approach with somewhat engaging vocal choruses and a dynamic instrumental punch. While there were a few interesting moments here, the overall effect is aggressive but not gripping.<<
