But first...
Dulltown, UK: Today's elephant in the room is the one gently hitting the local vicar over the head with a French stick.

Yes, the lino print with the stripes - I think that I showed you, dear reader, a photograph of a rough sketch for it a few days ago - there was other stuff in the photograph too, but I can't recall what it was.
You could. I suppose, if you like, click here, for another look.
Aha! And here is the finished thing!
Lino print. 2022. Oil-based ink on Japanese paper, about A4 in size.
Hm... curvy, isn't it?
I think it is a bit too cute for its own good.
Hm, I don't really know what that means, I don't even know why I said, er, wrote it.
I suppose it's the annoying bits that catch the eye most readily.
The annoying bits?
Yes, the way things overlap. Overlap, is a good word, isn't it?
Overlap - the way the stripes cut through the steps vertically, and wrongly, but the steps stay steady for anyone to walk up and down on, should they wish to.
And what the hell is going on in the back box at the top, with the round hole in it?
More annoying overlapping, that's what!
The stripes try to make the box look three-dimensional, but it stays looking pretty flat - oh, is that an eye? Do you see an eye, dear reader? A big peering one?
Me, I like its symmetry. Perhaps I should have said composition rather than symmetry. It does tend to jump about, though, doesn't it?
As you see, there is no title to this piece. I can't be bothered giving small works titles!
I'll tell you what! Let's open the big fat dictionary, that the one there, on the shelf, and find a random word for it.
This fine lino print, from 2022, is called - Proseuche.
