I didn't get much drawing done in the last few weeks. If you were looking at my social media, you may have seen lots of pics of beaches and more beaches. They were cold beaches. There was no swimming going on. I'm back in Chicago and will be back at it.
I have some thoughts on the baseball season, as you read this it's the trade deadline and there's going to be some big trades but the most out of the ordinary event will be the Angels doubling down on being mediocre so they don't lose pitcher & home run leader Shohei Ohtani, who could bolster any team he goes to. Instead, they made a trade for one of the White Sox's pitchers. It was said that the Sox weren't going to trade much because they want to hold on to most of their lineup for next year, and then immediately traded another pitcher, to the Dodgers. The Angels have to gain a lot of ground for the AL West and also for the Wild Card, which is most of the AL East ahead of them. BUT at the end of your season, you face your division rivals - so a lot of those teams are going to beat up on each other and the Angels could snag a spot after all.
I saw two Giants games while in SF - I even managed to pick up the same seat.
THE INDICTMENT: a SECOND indictment was added for Trump & his espionage activity, adding an employee from MarALago. I think it's more of the same other than there must be proof that Trump tried to mislead the FBI etc on hoarding documents. I kinda feel for the resort employee(s) who are getting charged because they might have no idea why they're being asked to get rid of stuff or delete videos or some other thing, and then when the Feds show up they don't understand what they're being asked about that innocuous deleting of video that maybe they don't remember from a few months ago. OR they were told to do it to protect Trump not knowing that doing so was illegal. OR they should know not to work for that guy.
I also have some old movies to review. But I'm getting settled back in town and I gotta get back to the daily work grind.
