Since I was 16, I've hated Labor Day. I had to work six Labor Days straight, no bonus, no perks, no thanks, but plenty of drunken jerks.
I filled in for a co-worker so I could have dodged working today. It wasn't as bad as when I worked at Coney Island (see previous post) and a few customers even thanked me.
It is odd that in America, the country that sparked Labor Day for the rest of the world, does not celebrate workers with other nations but for many workers, it's just another day, while wealthy executives have a paid vacation.
