This tape is part of the Punk Etc collection...
The Verwesenden Kakerlaken ("decomposing cockroaches") was a punk band founded in 1986 (Hallertau region of Bavaria; between München and Regensburg). They already started to include or anticipate thrashmetal elements at a very early stage. They performed in Bavaria and East Germany. In 1988 Trust magazine named them the "hottest band in Germany" - which was probably meant sarcastically. Their biggest success: The police chief of Lower Bavaria warning against attending a gig at the Red Bull in Siegenburg. In the early 1990s they changed their name to 'The Kraft' (and became an "arty" concept band). Members: Hein(rich) Schmid (drums), Franz 'Geez' Götz (guitar/vocals) & Dietmar 'Didi' Möller (bass/vocals). Before this one here they did a few more tapes: Henastoi Invasion (1986; recorded with mono cassette recorder); Auf Der Lauer ("on the lookout"; '86), Prügl Pur ("?"; '87). Schädlgewitter can be translated as "thunderstorm of skulls"...
