At the start of the year, I like to look back over the previous twelve months from a books and blogging perspective. It's nice to summarise the year and – as long time followers of Jo's Book Blog will know – I don't need much excuse to roll out a few stats.
Female authors includes all authors who – to the best of my knowledge – identify as female.
I read 104 books in 2021. This is perhaps a little lower than usual for me, but I don't set a target to read x books per year, and I'm happy with this total. Of those 104, you can see my favourite reads split across three posts that I shared in December:
I wrote 159 blog posts in 2021, and while I don't pay much attention to views and visitors overall, I do like to see which of my posts were the most viewed. This is usually posts from the last 12 months, but two of my reviews from 2020 continued to prove popular this year as well. Clearly a lot of people were interested in The Devil and the Dark Water and Mrs Benson's Beetle – I expect due the paperback release of these titles. Of my reviews published this year, those with the most views were:
