[1] Days after walking back a pledge to
kill off legacy, free G Suite accounts in May 2022, Google has announced Google Workspace Essentials Starter, a new offering that allows users to sign up for no-cost access to Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, and Meet, more using their existing work email.
"The new Google Workspace Essentials Starter Edition is a no-cost solution for business users looking to enhance teamwork and unlock innovation with secure-by-design collaboration," Google Workspace VP of marketing Kelly Waldher said in a blog post. "Essentials Starter can help employees and their teams break down silos and work together in new ways, even if their organization still relies on legacy productivity tools that weren't built for the hybrid era of work."

pointed out, the shutdown would've left people who registered a G Suite account without a way to easily transfer apps, linked accounts like YouTube, and calendars, excepting through Google's data-exporting service Google Takeout.

(The company said it hasn't released this type of statistic previously and did not have comparison data immediately available for previous years.)
The company explains that its
Azure AD identity service spans more than 1.2 billion identities, with more than 8 billion authentications taking place per day.

A definition that seems to have garnered some consensus is that AI ethics is a system of moral principles and techniques intended to inform the development and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies.
The Montreal AI Ethics Institute (MAIEI) is an international nonprofit organization democratizing AI ethics literacy. It aims to equip citizens concerned about artificial intelligence to act, as its founders believe that civic competence is the foundation of change.
The institute's State of AI Ethics Reports, published semi-annually, condense the top research & reporting around a set of ethical AI subtopics into one document.
